Geckoboard Pricing (2026): What You Actually Pay
Geckoboard costs $79/month on its Essentials plan, which includes two dashboards and one editor, and $319/month on Performance, which includes 20 dashboards and three editors.* Each extra dashboard on Essentials is $24/month and each extra editor is $20/month.* There's a 14-day free trial with no card required, and Enterprise is priced on request.
That's the whole price list. The rest of this page is about what those numbers mean once you have more than one or two screens, and when it's worth paying them.
Geckoboard's plans at a glance
| Essentials | Performance | Enterprise | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price * | $79/month | $319/month | Custom, billed annually |
| Dashboards included * | 2 | 20 | Custom |
| Extra dashboard * | $24/month each | — | Custom |
| Editors included * | 1 | 3 | Custom |
| Extra editor * | $20/month each | — | Custom |
| Data sources * | 90+, plus Datasets API | 90+, plus Datasets API | 90+, plus Datasets API |
| Spreadsheets (Google Sheets, Excel) * | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Custom templates * | No | Yes | Yes |
Geckoboard's pricing page lists the same price whether you pay monthly or annually.* Viewers, the people who only look at dashboards, aren't the thing you pay for; dashboards and editors are.
What it costs in practice
The headline number is for two dashboards and one person editing them. Most teams outgrow that fast, because a dashboard in Geckoboard is usually one screen: the sales TV, the support TV, the founders' revenue board.
Here's how Essentials scales, using the list prices above:
| You need | Essentials cost * | Performance cost * |
|---|---|---|
| 2 dashboards, 1 editor | $79/month | $319/month |
| 3 dashboards, 1 editor | $103/month | $319/month |
| 5 dashboards, 1 editor | $151/month | $319/month |
| 5 dashboards, 2 editors | $171/month | $319/month |
| 10 dashboards, 3 editors | $311/month | $319/month |
Two things stand out. First, every new screen costs $24 a month, so dashboards become something you ration. Second, around ten dashboards Essentials and Performance cost about the same, which is the point where Geckoboard nudges you up a tier.
Over a year, the five-dashboard, two-editor setup is about $2,050. That's not a lot for a company with a sales floor. It's a lot for a three-person SaaS team that wanted MRR on a wall.
What you're paying for
It's worth being fair about this. Geckoboard is good at a specific job:
- Pre-built connectors. 90+ data sources, including the usual CRM, support and marketing tools.* If your numbers live in HubSpot, Zendesk or Google Sheets, someone non-technical can build a dashboard in an afternoon.
- The office TV. Geckoboard has been built around wall displays for years, and it shows.
- Polish. Dashboards look tidy without anyone choosing colours.
If that's your situation, the price buys real time savings, and you should probably pay it.
Where the pricing stops making sense
The pricing gets awkward in three situations.
Your data is in your own product. Geckoboard's route for custom data is the Datasets API, which works by pushing your data into Geckoboard: you write, host and schedule a job that sends rows to it.* You're doing the integration work anyway, and still paying per dashboard to display the result.
You want lots of small dashboards. Per-dashboard pricing punishes the useful habit of giving each team, client or project its own board.
You want it on your phone. Geckoboard offers a progressive web app rather than a native app, and dashboards can't be edited on mobile.* That's fine for a glance, less fine if you want a push notification when a number moves.
A cheaper option if you can write an endpoint
dashboardbase takes the opposite approach. Instead of connectors, you give it the URL of an endpoint in your own backend, and that endpoint returns JSON in a fixed shape. dashboardbase renders it. Plans start at $9.99/month, are flat rather than per dashboard, and come with a 14-day free trial.
The trade is honest: you write a small endpoint per widget. For a developer that's usually 10–20 lines, and the data never gets copied to us.
Here's what one endpoint returns for a goal-tracking KPI tile:
{
"title": "MRR",
"actions": [
{
"title": "View Details",
"type": "link",
"url": "https://example.com/mrr-details"
}
],
"data": {
"header": {
"title": "$8,200",
"subtitle": "toward $10k goal",
"badge": {
"text": "+$820",
"icon": "ArrowUp",
"color": "Success"
}
},
"progress": {
"value": 8200,
"max": 10000,
"label": "Goal 10.000 $"
}
}
}That renders as a KPI with a goal bar underneath. Paste any response into the public endpoint validator and it shows you the widget, no account needed. If you'd rather not write the endpoint by hand, the free Skill teaches Claude Code or Cursor the whole contract, and the editor can generate a prompt for any AI tool you already use.
The office TV works too: open www.dashboardbase.com/tv on the television, approve the code from your phone, and it runs fullscreen with no login on the screen. How TV pairing works.

When to pay for Geckoboard anyway
- Nobody on the team writes code, and the data lives in tools Geckoboard already connects to.
- You need a dashboard live this afternoon and won't touch it again for months.
- You want a vendor to own the integrations, including when the source APIs change.
When the cheaper route fits
- Your numbers come from your own database or services.
- You want more than two or three dashboards without counting them.
- You want native apps and push alerts, not just a home-screen web app.
